Good morning, Armchair Army,
Welcome to today's edition of The Armchair Analyst, a 5-minute daily update on the ASX life-sciences sector.
Short update from me.
About to board a flight to Queenstown for the 20th BioShares conference.
This year there are…
230+ attendees.
56 biotech companies.
38 speakers.
Lots of brokers. Lots of companies. Lots of biotech.
My goal for the next few days is to get an update on all of the companies that I have previously written about as part of my Biotech 165 Challenge…
… and hopefully find my next Armchair Analyst pick.
But let’s be honest, my real goal is to try and squeeze in some snowboarding.
It’s been about 10 years since I’ve hit the slopes - I will be verrrry rusty.
Lots to look forward to and cover over the next couple of days.
Let’s dive in …
The Pulse Check
Neuren Pharmaceuticals (ASX: NEU) reports DAYBUE® net sales of US$125M for the last quarter (up 30% on pcp). Full-year royalty guidance raised to US$53-56M. (NEU)
🪑Nice update.
Key for me was that DAYBUE STIX adoption is “exceeding expectations”. This is the reformulation of DAYBUE into a powder form that can be mixed with a drink for easier consumption for children with Rhett Syndrome.
Sales driven by product improvements is always a good sign.
Revenue upgrade is nice too (from US$50-54M to US$53-56M).
BlinkLab Limited (ASX: BB1) reports successful European study on ADHD diagnostics through a smartphone with 82% sensitivity and 83% specificity. (BB1)
🪑 Again, strong results.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate whether BB1’s product could work in detecting ADHD before it went through with a larger registrational trial.
The results today indicate that the answer is YES.
Clarity Pharmaceuticals (ASX: CU6) reports two additional complete responses in the SECuRE trial, with 74% of participants achieving significant PSA reductions. (CU6)
🪑 Nice result.
Memphasys (ASX: MEM) secures $350K, 2-year contract with TK Biotech in Poland for its sperm separation device. (MEM)
🪑Good sales momentum.
AdAlta Limited (ASX:1AD) reports 1-year and 2-year continued survival from the first two patients that had a complete response from its licensed CAR-T therapy from a group out of China. (1AD)
🪑While 1AD didn’t run the study itself, it is getting a “free look” at results from its partner in China.
More results like this should encourage Australian investors to finance an Australian study sponsored by 1AD on this CAR-T technology.
That’s the next step in development.
See you all tomorrow.
The Armchair Analyst.
PS. If you’re at Bioshares, come say hi!
