Good morning, Armchair Army,

Welcome to today's edition of The Armchair Analyst, a 5-minute daily update on the ASX life-sciences sector.

Today marks edition #200 of The Armchair Analyst newsletter.

Nearly 12 months ago, I quit my job and started this journey.

The goal?

Make investing in healthcare stocks more accessible for everyday people.

So far I’ve…

  • Run 1 Armchair After Market event.

  • Chosen 3 stocks to champion as my Armchair Picks.

  • Covered 75+ companies in my Biotech 165 Challenge.

  • Published 200 newsletters.

  • Read 1000+ ASX announcements.

… and met plenty of awesome people along the way.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again.

The most valuable thing that anyone can give you is their attention.

So thank you.

For giving me yours for 5 minutes every morning.

I’ll never take it for granted.

If you've learned something new from any of these first 200 newsletters, do me one favour…

Forward this email to a mate.

Word of mouth is how this newsletter has grown, and it's the single best thing you can do to help.

To get your friends started, here are some of my favourite articles from my first #200:

See you all tomorrow!

The Pulse Check

Clarity Pharmaceuticals (ASX: CU6) has recruited the first 16 (of 24) patients for its Phase I/IIa SECuRE trial Cohort Expansion. (CU6)

🪑 Milestone ticked.

This is the “radiotheranostics” trial (not diagnostics)... so very interested in this one.

The FDA has completed review of Imricor Medical Systems (ASX: IMR) third PMA module. (IMR)

🪑 Most of Module 3 was approved by the FDA, with only a minor question about the third-party software operating system (now updated).

This is the largest Pre-Market Approval module - with the fourth and final one targeted for submission in November.

Noxopharm (ASX: NOX) receives FDA feedback from a pre-IND meeting for its SOF-SKN product and Phase II trial design for lupus. (NOX)

🪑 Milestone ticked.

Trajan (ASX: TRJ) published FY2027 Q1 results - maintains current guidance of double-digit nEBITDA growth. nEBITDA for the quarter - $3.5 million. (TRJ)

🪑 All numbers heading in the right direction.

(Including the stock price)

Good quarter from Trajan.

REPORT: Australia’s biotech sector calls for Budget change carve-outs or warns of expert and investment brain drain. (The Nightly)

🪑 The team at AusBiotech is working hard to shield the industry from harmful changes to the CGT discount and R&D tax incentive.

Thankless work, and I really appreciate it.

A nice write-up in the Sydney Morning Herald on Syntara’s (ASX: SNT) iRBD trial results update from yesterday. (SMH)

🪑 I think the article title used the words “absolutely staggering” to describe the results.

Stocks up 14% today.

Cynata Therapeutics (ASX: CYP) launches a $913k fully underwritten renounceable entitlement offer. (CYP)

🪑 The recap raise…

Underwritten by the same guys behind the Ceretas (ASX: CTS) IPO. Some good people behind this one.

The Firmus IPO is being re-priced down to $8.25 (after being at $11). (AFR)

🪑 … alright, this is more than noise.

It sounds like the IPO might have been struggling to get away (or at least the bankers didn’t want a Saluda / Epiminder 2.0 where it the IPO sank like a rock).

See you all tomorrow,

The Armchair Analyst
